Shipping policy
At WoodNook, each piece is handcrafted and many of our items are made to order. Because of the custom nature of our products, shipping timelines and delivery methods may vary depending on the size, finish, and complexity of your order.
Processing Time
Most WoodNook items are made to order.
- Smaller items / standard products: typically ship within 5–10 business days
- Custom or made-to-order carts / larger builds: typically ship within 2–3 weeks, depending on current production schedule and final approved details
- Orders with custom dimensions, cutouts, paint, or personalized details may require additional time
If your order has a specific deadline, please contact us before purchasing and we’ll do our best to confirm timing.
Shipping Methods
We ship using trusted carriers based on the size and type of item:
- Small to mid-size items: UPS, USPS, or FedEx
- Large items / carts / oversized builds: UPS Ground, LTL freight, or local delivery when available
Shipping method is selected based on what is safest and most appropriate for your order.
Shipping Rates
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout when possible.
For oversized, custom, or freight-shipped items, shipping may be:
- quoted separately before production, or
- included in a custom invoice if discussed in advance
If a shipping adjustment is needed due to location, access limitations, or oversized packaging, we will contact you before finalizing the order.
Delivery Estimates
Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Once an order leaves our shop, transit times are handled by the carrier and may be affected by:
- weather
- routing delays
- holidays
- carrier backlogs
- freight scheduling
We are not responsible for shipping delays caused by the carrier or events outside our control, but we will provide tracking and assist when possible.
Large / Freight Deliveries
Some WoodNook carts and oversized items may ship via freight.
For freight deliveries:
- The carrier may contact you to schedule delivery
- Someone may need to be available to receive the shipment
- Delivery is typically to the curbside / driveway unless otherwise arranged
- Additional fees may apply for liftgate service, inside delivery, redelivery, or limited-access locations
Please make sure your shipping address and contact information are accurate at checkout.
Inspecting Your Order on Arrival
Because many of our products are handmade and some are large or fragile, please inspect your order immediately upon delivery.
If your package arrives with visible damage:
- Take clear photos of:
- the outer packaging
- all labels
- the damaged area(s)
- the item inside the packaging
- Keep all original packaging materials
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at woodnookus@gmail.com
Failure to report shipping damage within 48 hours may affect our ability to file a carrier claim or offer a replacement.
Lost or Delayed Packages
If your tracking shows a delay, or if your package appears lost in transit, please contact us and we’ll help investigate.
Please note:
- Once a package is marked delivered by the carrier, WoodNook is not responsible for stolen or missing packages left unattended
- We recommend shipping to a secure address where someone can receive the package
Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.
If an order is delayed, returned, or requires rerouting due to an incorrect or incomplete address:
- additional shipping charges may apply
- delivery may be delayed
- WoodNook is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect address information
Shipping Availability
At this time, WoodNook ships within the United States only.
Custom & Made-to-Order Items
Because many WoodNook products are custom-built or made to order:
- production begins based on the approved order details
- changes after production begins may not be possible
- shipping timelines may vary depending on build complexity and finish schedule
If your order includes a custom cart or build, we recommend confirming all dimensions, features, and delivery expectations before production starts.
