Refund policy

At WoodNook, many of our products are handcrafted and made to order. This includes custom carts, personalized pieces, made-to-order furniture, and other products built or finished specifically for each customer.

Please review the following carefully before placing a custom or made-to-order order.

Custom & Made-to-Order Items

Custom and made-to-order items may include, but are not limited to:

  • custom carts
  • personalized products
  • items with custom dimensions
  • products with custom cutouts or inserts
  • painted or stained-to-order pieces
  • items made after purchase rather than stocked inventory
  • special requests or modifications to standard products

If your item is built, finished, modified, or personalized specifically for you, it is considered a custom or made-to-order item.

Final Sale Policy

All custom and made-to-order items are final sale.

Because these pieces are created specifically for each customer:

  • they cannot be returned
  • they cannot be exchanged
  • they cannot be canceled once production has started

By placing an order for a custom or made-to-order item, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

Customer Approval & Responsibility

For custom builds, customers are responsible for reviewing and approving all relevant order details before production begins.

This may include:

  • overall dimensions
  • shelf placement
  • cutout sizes
  • insert sizing
  • top layout
  • color selections
  • paint or stain finish
  • signage details
  • engraving or personalization
  • any requested modifications

If mockups, renderings, or 3D previews are provided, they are intended as a visual reference only and may not represent every construction detail exactly.

It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm that all measurements, specifications, and requested features are correct before final approval.

Natural Material Variation

Many WoodNook products are made from real wood and handcrafted materials.

Because of this, natural variation is expected, including but not limited to:

  • wood grain differences
  • knots or natural wood markings
  • slight tone variation
  • stain absorption differences
  • paint finish variation
  • handmade construction variation

These natural differences are part of the character of the piece and are not considered defects.

Mockups, Photos & Renderings

Product photos, mockups, 3D renderings, and digital previews are provided for general visual guidance.

Please note:

  • colors may appear differently depending on screen settings and lighting
  • wood tones and stains may vary from screen to final product
  • proportions or visual styling in renderings may differ slightly from the finished handmade item
  • custom layouts may be adjusted slightly during production for structural or practical reasons

We do our best to stay as close as possible to the approved design while ensuring the final piece is functional, durable, and well-built.

Production Timeline

Production timelines vary depending on the size, complexity, finish, and current queue of your order.

Estimated production times are provided as a general guideline only and are not guaranteed.

Delays may occasionally occur due to:

  • material availability
  • finish curing times
  • custom revisions
  • shipping coordination
  • high order volume
  • circumstances outside our control

If you have a hard deadline, please contact us before ordering.

Changes After Order Placement

We understand ideas can evolve, but once materials are ordered or production begins, changes may be limited or not possible.

  • Minor changes may be accommodated at our discretion
  • Additional charges may apply for revisions, upgrades, or redesigns
  • Requests made after production begins may delay completion
  • Some changes may require a new quote or may not be possible

Damages, Defects, or Incorrect Orders

If your custom or made-to-order item arrives:

  • damaged
  • defective
  • or incorrect compared to the approved order details

Please include:

  • your order number
  • clear photos of the item
  • photos of the packaging and shipping label
  • a brief description of the issue

We will review the issue and, if applicable, work with you toward an appropriate resolution.

Non-Refundable Deposits

If a deposit is collected for a custom order, design reservation, or production slot, that deposit is non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

A deposit secures materials, labor time, and production scheduling.
